I don’t make the coffee in the coffee maker, so would it be okay if I used milk instead of water?

well the coffee maker you do use water to make the coffee. using water would be fine but not as much flavor as it would contain using milk.. using milk would actually make it more yummier!

That would be interesting to try. Now that you’ve got my curiosity, maybe I’ll try a cup.

sure …cafe-au lait. my suggestion is to warm the milk in the microwave before adding the coffee. i’ve done it and i like it that way, just add a tiny bit extra coffee if its too weak in flavor.

yep, except sometimes the coffee floats to the top and doesn’t dissolve, so your milk needs to be hot.

Yes, actually that’s how my boyfriend grew up drinking it in Puerto Rico. He said everyone drinks it that way. We heat up about 6 oz of milk and put in 1 teaspoon of instant coffee and 6 teaspoons of sugar. I think the trick is to pour them in only one at a time and stir a lot. They also dip buttered toast in it, which I thought sounded weird at first but it really is great! We have found that taster’s choice tastes much better with milk than folgier’s. The folgiers tastes awfully bitter.
