How can I make really good coffee?

I want to buy a coffee maker and make the best coffee. Where can I find a relatively inexpensive Coffee machine- I don’t care if it is a French Press, a Percolator, or anything else- Just whatever makes good coffee. Also, what are some of the best Beans. I live in seattle so I have access to fresh beans from Pike Place and stuff.

If you want a device that is cheap and produces good coffee with little skill, I’d suggest a French press. Automatic drip machines are widely excoriated, manual drip is usually considered inferior to French press, percolators have their fans but the fans concede that they require a lot of skill to use, vacuum brewers have their fans but they’re comparatively expensive, and espresso machines are fantastically expensive.
