I just brewed my first pot of perc coffee. Mmm. The reason it needs to be cold water to start is that it is the thermal differencial which makes it perc. If it is all hot to start with then it wouldn’t go up the tube. Pretty cool idea. I got a stove top pot so I can take it to my little cabin in Alaska and brew it with a gas stove. Great coffee.
