Can I just use plain old brown sugar? And if it’s supposed to be a body scrub, why are the coffee grounds so fine in texture. Would it not make more sense to use instant coffee?

The side of mainstream cans of coffee (e.g. Maxwell House, Folgers, etc) suggest to use 1/2 cup of coffee grounds to make a 10-cup pot of coffee.
Do you follow this suggested strength recommendation? How much coffee do you personally use?

at the store i noticed that the coffee grinds has many different settings- how do all these different coffee makers work? i understand the one which uses a one-way valve to pomp coffee up a vertical tube so the hot water then drips onto the coffee grounds but that is The only one [...]
