Just For Coffee Lovers

The side of mainstream cans of coffee (e.g. Maxwell House, Folgers, etc) suggest to use 1/2 cup of coffee grounds to make a 10-cup pot of coffee.
Do you follow this suggested strength recommendation? How much coffee do you personally use?

We bought it from Woolworths but it went off the shelves which doesn’t necessarily mean it went out of production. It was the nicest instant coffee I’ve ever had with the next best being a Maxwell house American blend (I think as that was many years ago as well). I am in Australia.
